Microsoft Appoints Homegrown G-Asiapacific as Microsoft CSP Partner

Local partnership strategy with Malaysia’s 1st and only Cloud technology agnostic provider to penetrate into SME sector, retail, airlines, construction, media and oil & gas

Strengthening its position in the Cloud Computing space, Microsoft Malaysia has recently appointed Malaysia’s leading and only Cloud technology agnostic provider, G-Asiapacific Sdn Bhd as a Direct Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider (‘CSP’).

Locally established G-Asiapacific is one of few Cloud Solution provider companies in Malaysia certified as a Microsoft CSP and is the only Cloud specialist that provides all major Cloud brands – Google, Amazon Web Services (‘AWS’) and Microsoft.

“Cloud plays an important part of Microsoft’s strategy in today’s mobile-first, cloud-first world. One of our ambitions is to build the intelligent cloud and we’re proud to partner with G-Asiapacific, who shares the same vision as us to provide cloud computing to local organisations, with their extensive experience and networks,” said Azizah Ali, General Manager, Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners, Microsoft Malaysia.

“For the last eight years, G-Asiapacific has been delivering consistent and outstanding client experience in Malaysia to ensure successful business transformation using cloud technology. We are confident of their abilities to deliver Microsoft Cloud solutions to clients,” she said.

As a CSP partner, G-Asiapacific can offer the complete client management lifecycle for Microsoft cloud products which includes Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, and other Microsoft products bundles. G-Asiapacific can now directly provision, manage and support all products and services within the Microsoft product portfolio.

Most recently, G-Asiapacific is in the final stages of deploying Cloud-based office productivity systems for a major municipal council, one of the largest hyper-mart chains in Malaysia and is looking forward to a successful second year anniversary of its cloud deployment in the largest worldwide low-cost carrier (AirAsia Berhad) and fourth year anniversary of cloud adoption in SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad. The company also has a growing list of public sector clients including Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor, Biotechcorp and Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad.

“The CSP recognition complements our existing cloud managed services strategy and allows us to help clients across all sectors to modernise their workplace using the best selection of cloud technology in the world. We can provide a complete Microsoft cloud offering directly to our clients as part of our custom Cloud365 pack bundle,” shared Goh Kian Kiang Director for G-Asiapacific.

In addition, Goh added that Microsoft CSP partners can also develop custom Intellectual Property (‘IP’) into cloud solutions which can be sold across multiple clients, helping clients to see the value in their business solutions investments within a shorter period of time.

SME Focus

Along with various industry verticals, the Microsoft-G-Asiapacific partnership will offer Malaysian SMEs a cost-effective means to leverage on customised cloud solutions to grow their business exponentially with minimal upfront capital. SMEs with little or no internal IT assets and mid-sized enterprises are poised to benefit from this arrangement.

According to Goh, Malaysian SMEs are beginning to embrace the benefits of Cloud with several notable names turning to G-Asiapacific, most notably in the retail segment.

“With Cloud, SMEs could always be above the sea of data to compete with large enterprises. SMEs can focus on their core operations and need not fear about costs or security issues as the technology is proven to be more than capable in both. Rather, SMEs can maximise the true value of cloud technology and minimise risk. We help companies to bring their data to life and deliver actionable decision to entire organisation,” he added.
